I'm running multiple instances of a Valuation Monitor application in
Excel 2000 on an XP machine. The app pulls real-time security market data from Bloomberg using Bloomberg's DDE Server Addin. I've noticed that the second instance of the XL app is NOT receiving data for all the DDE requests. I want to know what are the variables involved in limiting the number of working DDE links in Excel on the same machine. Is it strictly memory, processor speed, Excel 2000, DDE Server technology, Bloomberg, or a combination of all these factors that are preventing updates in the 2nd instance of the application. The first running instance is receiving accurate real-time data. It's the 2nd instance that is not receiving data for all the requests. |
