Just hide the columns and protect the sheet. Add a password if desired. It
can be easily broken -- Don Guillett SalesAid Software "Laurent M" wrote in message ... My Excel application needs to be secure and i need to hide the first column and the first row of my sheet. More over, i would like to lock them. How can i do that? Thanks |

hidden columns and row
Laurent,
Security with Excel is very relative: all passwords (for sheets, workbooks, and vba code can easily be broken.) If you simply want to hide something from a casual user ok, but don't think it is secure from an advanced user. To Hide a column or row: select the column by clicking on the Letter at the top or the Row number at the far left. Then click on the menu item: formatRowHide or ColumnHide For protection: Hold down the Alt Key and press TPP "Laurent M" wrote: My Excel application needs to be secure and i need to hide the first column and the first row of my sheet.
