Default Possible to print a string?

Is it possible to send a string directly to a printer?

Or would I need to dump it into a temp sheet and print from there instead?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and example function(s).

Open "LPT1:" For Output As #1
Print #1, "An error occurred!"
