Default Cannot close excel

I am running WIN ME and office 2000. I can open excel and even work on a
document and save it and close it. When I try to close Excel my system
hangs.

Any help would be appreciated.

Default Cannot close excel

Problem could be corrupted registry or even a virus.
But my sincere suggestion is don't use ME. Upgrade
to 2000 or XP or even go down to win 98.
I think ME was a cruel joke.

I cleaned up the registry and I have no virus and it still hangs when I try
to close it.

Default Cannot close excel

Is this through the GUI or code? If the latter, you should check
Program won't quit
