Default Partial Search using Macro

Hi all, i have a database and i need to do a partial search on 1 of
the column. Need to do this using a macro. Quite lost here. Will be
grateful for your help. thanks!

What kind of database? In Excel, or a "real" database?

What do you mean by "partial search", how many hits are you expecting and
what do you want to do with them ?

You will need to be more explicit before anyone can help: providing examples
is a good start if you are unsure of what terminology to use.

oh..oki. i have a column of data, let sa
7689123..457342..567658..234236..and so on. I want to search for what
want by just typing in a part of the number. If i wanna look for 457342
i just need to type 457 and the entire row of result will appear

yeap..it's a excel database. any number of hits as i have a whole colum
of data
