what is filespec ??
I've copied this out of VBA help, and I'm having trouble understanding it.
Can anyone tell me what (filespec) means?? Do I need to enter the file path and name here in it's place?? Sub ShowFileAccessInfo(filespec) Dim fs, f, s Set fs = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject") Set f = fs.GetFile(filespec) s = f.Name & " on Drive " & UCase(f.Drive) & vbCrLf s = s & "Created: " & f.DateCreated & vbCrLf s = s & "Last Accessed: " & f.DateLastAccessed & vbCrLf s = s & "Last Modified: " & f.DateLastModified MsgBox s, 0, "File Access Info" End Sub |

In this context, filespec is simply the full file name, including
the path. -- Cordially, Chip Pearson Microsoft MVP - Excel Pearson Software Consulting, LLC www.cpearson.com "VBA-Beginner" wrote in message ... filespec is the name of your file, with path, e.g.
c:\myTest\excel\myFile.xls -- HTH RP (remove nothere from the email address if mailing direct) "VBA-Beginner" wrote in message ...
