When adding rows the automatic number colunm doesn't change automatically

Because the formula in that column isn't written to allow rows to be inserted? It would help if you would post the formula: the simplest formula that will change automatically is =ROW() HTH, Bernie MS Excel MVP "Yvonne" wrote in message ...
