Default range referencing


ok,

here's what i have

two columns of information, the first column has one word in a col an
nothing in b col. i was trying to select the area on the page sinc
these names and groups change with every different file i bring in.
excel seems to "hard code" in the range selected. i need it to jus
fill in the blanks on column a with the cell directly above it and the
paste the values to column a.
