Common module by multiple workbooks
This is not an option since the multiple excels will have to be opene from various users from various locations within a network! I have managed to import the module however as described in http://tinyurl.com/5gy9r but in this case I can not call any subs from it although I call the after importing the module. The error is that "object required" implin that the sub is not defined yet! Mike Fogleman Wrote: Save the code in your Personal.xls, which is saved in your xlstar folder. If the file doesn't exist, create one. Whenever you open Excel, the personal.xls file in folder xlstart will open and be hidden. However you can see it in the VB Editor projects. Any macro in your Personal.xl will now be available for any open workbook to use. Mike F "S@S" wrote in message ... I have a number of workbooks (say 30) that all have one module with exactly the same code in them. Every time I make some changes in the code, I have to update all workbooks. *Is there a way to use one common module which will be somehow called/referenced by all workbooks?* Thanks -- S@S ------------------------------------------------------------------------ S@S's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=16062 View this thread http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=275190 -- S@ ----------------------------------------------------------------------- S@S's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=1606 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread.php?threadid=27519 |
