I want to create a template like invoice template in excel.

Can any one guide me out...

Hi

i have a workbook that you can look at and use as you will. Email me direct
(julied_ng @ hcts dot net dot au) if you'ld like a copy - it has an invoice
sheet, which is saved as a copy & the data added to a summary worksheet for
analysis purposes.

Actully i want to make a money receipt template in excel. The invoice
template which is built in excel is great and i wanted to make a simillar
template.

it would be quite difficult to "walk you through" creating the whole thing
from scratch via this method, so if you have specific questions please ask
them and we'll do our best to answer them. If you'ld like to tell us how
far you've got with the project so far and what you're stuck on we'll do our
best to assist.

Hi Rahul

the first step would be to set up the first page of the worksheet to be the
entry form .. your invoice - so set your cells, formatting, calculations all
of the things that you want on each invoice.

then select all of the cells you want to be able to edit and choose format /
cells / protection and untick locked.

then choose tools / protection and protect sheet.

then once you've done that you can do file / save as and under files of type
choose template -
now when you need to create an invoice you chose
file / new .. find the template
fill in the blanks and print the template
saving it using file / save.

next time you want a invoice, choose file / new and you'll have a blank one
that you can use.

this is the "simplest" level and a good starting point. Once you've got
this up & working you can start to think of other features to add (e.g. drop
down lists for customers / products / automatic numbering system etc)

I was using the invoice template, but transferred to a laptop. Now everytime
I want to use the Invoice template, it displays an error for me to install
the numbering add-in . I check under tools, add-ins and numbering add-ins is
not there. Now what?
