Default Code Livelinks - Please help!

I'm writing a macro that will copy & paste information from othe
workbooks into a master workbook. My company hosts all official file
via internet. I know my code works - I've tested it on my deskto
folders. But now that I have to transfer it to the internet using
livelink and data ids that apparently changes.

On my desktop my code looks like this:
Workbooks.Open Filename:= _
"C:\Documents and Settings\User\Desktop\filename.xls"

So, instead I want to turn it into
CurrWorkBook = filename.xls
Workbooks.Open Filename:= _
"http://company.com/livelink/livelink/" &* "/" & CurrWorkBook
"func=doc.Fetch&nodeid=" &*

I can't use * as a wildcard. Is there anyway that I can insert
wildcard? Or is this part of the limitations of Excel?

Thanks,
Ma

The Workbooks.Open method will open one file at a time. No wildcards are
allowed.
I can't figure out why you would need wildcards.

Here's something to try:
Browse in Livelink for the document you're interested in, right-click the
link (not the dropdown arrow), copy shortcut.

Then in your original code, replace "C:\Documents and
Settings\User\Desktop\filename.xls" with the URL you've copied.
