Help with a macro
I wrote something about this last night. it was not a very good exampl of what I needed. It was a very long night when I posted it. I was a the Hospital the entire night before and had just gotten home. havein said that this is what I need. A macro that finds the data in column A in Book1 and seaches for it i column A in Book2. Retrieves the desciption from colmun B in book tw and copys it to column B in book1 and then repeats this until i reaches the last cell of column A in Book1 which has a value o "DATA_END". Just in case of any confusion I will include a sample of Book1 and and a book of what i need it to look like when finished +------------------------------------------------------------------- |Filename: Finished example.txt |Download: http://www.excelforum.com/attachment.php?postid=2689 +------------------------------------------------------------------- -- drew ----------------------------------------------------------------------- drewd's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=1474 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread.php?threadid=26572 |
Help with a macro
A question. You show a value of R15 with a result taken from the second
group of values in Book2. But R15 does not appear in the list of values in that second group. How do you determine that the results for R15 should come from the second group. Also, the list of entries you show in book2 (the list of codes found in Book1), is this list in a single cell or is it column A but in multiple rows? -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "drewd" wrote in message ...
