Try holding down the shift key when you open the file.
If it opens, then go in and remove all the macros and save it as a different name. -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "Dave" wrote in message ... I asked this question a couple of days ago and got no response, so thought I would try one more time. So here goes... I have a couple of files that a friend of mine programmed using vba. I do not know anything about programming, but when I try to open the excel files, I get an error message that says, "Microsoft Visual Basic - Error accessing the system registry". When I click ok, the error message goes away, but the file will not open. Can someone please tell me how I can get rid of this problem? Thanks. |
