Default External Queries - Excel 2000

FYI -

Figured it out. Formatted the pivot table as numbers. Data refreshed OK.

Hi all,

Do Excel queries all the time, write my own pivot tables - first time I've
come
across this situation. I imported the data into Access, and pasted the query
into Access, so I thing the issue is MS Query itself.

Ran a pivot table query. Results came back correct (200 rows, 3 cols), I
highlighted them and named a range pivoted_data. I ran a query on the new
range, joining it with a list 50 rows I need, and the results came back
"wrong",
returning blanks for everything in column 2 of pivoted_data.

Has anyone had a similar problem with MS Query ? Is there an update to MS
Query? The company will probably stay with Windows 2000/MS Office 2000 for
a while yet,so upgrading to Office XP isn't viable.

Thanks,

Mike
