Default Find & Replace ~

I am using Excel 97.

I have a worksheet which has the ~ character in quite a lot of cells which I
want to delete.

Find & Replace will not pick it up.

Can anyone assist with some code, please?

Mark,

Use Find and Replace but enter TWO ~~, this will do the job.
