Default Can the "Save" process be speeded up?

A competitor of my mine states the Save process in his Excel application has
been speeded up with a "Store" sheet. Obviously, I can't ask him about it,
so I'll ask the group. Is anyone aware of a procedure that will speed up the
Save process?

Thank you in advance.

I've never heard of any such way to speed up a Save operation. I
think he's making something up.

Unless a store sheet means he has moved data out of the workbook into
another workbook from which he extracts the information either using it as a
database or opening it and getting the information. This assumes the
information doesn't change, so there is no need to save this other workbook.
thus the original workbook is smaller and should save faster if the amount
of data is significant.
