Thanks Norman, I've added your link
Computer Club or SIG near you http://www.microsoft.com/mindshare/find/default.aspx to my search.htm page along with these APCUG User Group Online Locator http://cdb.apcug.org/loclist.asp and another one Ash Nallawalla's List of Computer User Groups on the Web http://easyrsvp.com/ugotw/ So John, you've got at least one computer club in Sydney (no kidding), you would have to look at their site to actually see what SIGs they have. If they don't have an Excel or VBA Special Interest Group then John, you're IT <grin Needless to say most clubs are going to have a several SIGs and they are only going to be seen on their own site. SIG - special interest group
A user group is a group of people who use a product and form an organization in which they share information with each other about that product. When use of personal computers began to grow 15 to 20 years ago, many people joined such groups to learn about the PC, share tips and so forth about their experiences. Many of these groups became quite large and influential and were listened to by industry. So within a PC users group, there might be a sub organization of people particularly interested in an application such as Excel. -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "Hari" wrote in message ... Hi David,

Then, as you imply, if that dont produce the goods, I'm IT <grin right back at you :-) Thanks again John "David McRitchie" wrote in message ... Hi Hari,
I included that SIG as an acronym for Special Interest Groups after your question and Tom's reply, but you have to look at the tool tip for the link. You can expand display within my search.htm webpage to show the Tool Tips and the HREF within the links with the two buttons near the top "Paren Tips" and "href visible", they are bookmarklets and you can put the display back to normal with F5 to reload or to reset the page. . FWIW: The information to my search.htm page is not indexed by search engines not even by FreeFind which specifically indexes my site. The search page is specifically generalized and does not concern Excel information except for a search. Before using the bookmarlets buttons at the top of the search.htm page, under the topic "Computer, Club" you see Computer Club or SIG near you, APCUG User Group Online Locator, List of Computer User Groups on the Web, is expanded to: (colors and underscored links not visible in plain text) Computer Club or SIG near you [-- http://www.microsoft.com/mindshare/find/default.aspx --] (a SIG is Special Interest Group and is part of a larger group), APCUG User Group Online Locator [-- http://cdb.apcug.org/loclist.asp --] (Association of Personal Computer User Groups), List of Computer User Groups on the Web [-- http://easyrsvp.com/ugotw/ --] (Ash Nallawalla's). --- HTH, David McRitchie, Microsoft MVP - Excel [site changed Nov. 2001] My Excel Pages: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/excel.htm Search Page: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/search.htm |
