Default ActiveWindow.ScrollColumn Sort

Is there a way I can identify a range to be sorted without using th
scrollcolumn function.

I'm referring to the result of recording a macro selecting a range b
dragging you mouse.

My range = ("G11:CX298")

Thank

Default ActiveWindow.ScrollColumn Sort

set rng = Worksheets("Sheet5").Range("G11:CX298")
rng.Sort Key1:=rng(1,6) ' sort on column L as an example

The sheet doesn't even need to be visible.
