Hi Robert,
I know that once it is set up, even the developer would be locked out Would your objective not achieved more readily by deleting the file, destroying the computer, burning the building .... --- Regards, Norman "VETcalc " wrote in message ... Has this ever been attempted? On the topic of file security for Excel, would it be possible to place a random generator formula in the Password Box on Excel and have it generate the same number in the second Password Validation box. Each time the file opens, the password would automatically changed to a new number. I know that once it is set up, even the developer would be locked out. But in therory, this would be away to prevent the password cracks from finding the most current password. Please keep in mind, I am not a programmer, I only present this from someone that is standing out side of the box. Just a thought. Robert Sprague --- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com/ |
