On the topic of file security for Excel, would it be possible to place
a random generator formula in the Password Box on Excel and have it
generate the same number in the second Password Validation box.

Each time the file opens, the password would automatically changed to a
new number. I know that once it is set up, even the developer would be
locked out. But in therory, this would be away to prevent the password
cracks from finding the most current password.

Please keep in mind, I am not a programmer, I only present this from
someone that is standing out side of the box.

Just a thought.

it's possible but it wouldn't have an effect on a cracker, because
they're breaking a password they didn't know before anyways, it would
help to prevent someone who steals your password once from using it again
