Default VBA Errors Through Webpage

Sorry, this is not an answer to your problem, but I thought I'd let you know
that I am having the exact same problem, in which I am getting VBA errors
with an Excel file from IE download, yet it works if I use the file locally.
My question was posted on Oct 20, and I have no response yet either. If and
when I get a reponse, I'll try and pass it over to you.

Hey everyone, I have the weirdest problem over here. I
have some nice Excel reports that use VBA, VB, SQL, and
ADO to gather info from our SQL Server and display the
reports in Excel. I created an 'in-house' webpage so
everyone could access my reports. I also unchecked
the 'Browse in same window' checkbox in the Edit File
Type Dialog box under Folder Options at each PC so that
when they clicked on my Excel report it wouldn't open in
Internet Explorer but it opens the file in Excel.

The crazy thing is that, the report doesn't run right
when it is launched from the webpage. It seems like the
VBA or VB doesn't work properly for certain objects. For
example, I have a report that displays customer sales
info and there is a Label at the top of the report where
I set the Caption Property through VBA to the name of the
customer, and this Label refuses to display the name of
the customer but is stuck on displaying the name of the
customer that was there when the report was opened.

I even opened the properties to this label and manually
set it to display something else but it refuses to
update. I can get it to display the change briefly when
I click on it, but it goes back.

It doesn't make any sense. And of course, If I go to the
webpage and choose Save target as and save the file to
the desktop it runs perfectly fine when opened from there.

So, I am getting VB errors when the report is opened
through the webpage but not when it is opened from the
desktop?

Just can't understand this... Please advise.
Thanks,
DBAL
