Default Removing text

I inherited a spreadsheet with what looks like a "text
box". The text is not tied to any particular cell, and I
cannot find a way to "select" it so that I can delete it.

I'd appreciate any suggestions on how I can delete this
text.

thank,Frank

hi

try making the visual basic toolbar visible:
[MENU]ViewToolbarsVisual Basic

then select then option for 'Design Mode' looks like a set square an
ruler. then you should be able to select and delete the text box. onc
done you can deseelct the design mode option and close the toolbar.

Hope this helps
