Default Phantom Links

Hello,

I have a large file that was created as an offshoot of
another file. I have many valid links in the new file,
but when I select "Edit/Links" I see numerous links from
the old file that do not exist in the new file.

We call these "phantom" links and I was wondering if
anyone knew of a way to get rid of them.

Thank you,

John
