Hi, I am need of assistance
I am trying to create a dropdown list based on a criteria from anothe sheet. Area 3 Dropdown list Sheet2 Tech# Skillset 1 video 2 hsi 3 tele 4 hsi,tele 5 hsi,video I also want it to validate, if they enter a tech that is not in th list an error message occurs. data validation will allow you to have the error message you want. Jus
use the error alert tab. As far as using a list from another sheet i have tried to do this an you cant (unless you write something yourself) So i put my lis somewhere in the middle of teh sheet that way if something is moved dont lose any of the list. Just make sure you click on the box at th bottom that applies changes to all other cells with same setting -- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com |

Using a named list, you can have the list on another sheet.
