Default Excel displays picture of Britney Spears in a bikini every time I start the application

Sorry - it doesn't really, I just wanted to get your attention ;-) If
you really want to see a picture of Britney in a bikini I'll happily
email one to anybody who can answer my question (or you could just
surf for one like a normal person).

Anyway, I posted this a few days ago but nobody has responded.

I'm running Excel Version 11.5612.5703 One of the workbooks that I use
is password protected and it recently started asking me for the
password for that workbook every time I start Excel. I posted the same
problem a while ago and somebody suggested that the file could be in
my XLSTART folder - which it was so I removed it and the problem went
away. This time I have checked XLSTART, in fact I have searched the
whole machine including the registry but can't find anything to
explain this behaviour. Incidentally, if I enter the password it opens
the workbook straight into editable mode without prompting again to
make it writeable.

Has anybody had the same problem?

Thanks,

Liam

Where is it located?

In tools=Options=General Tab, do you have anything listed in Alternate
Startup Directory.

Thanks for the help Tom.

No, the "At startup open all files in.." box is blank.
