Default capture text typed in Combo Box

Is it possible to capture the text that a user types into a Combo Box?

I have a form with an Active-X combo box. The box lists the values i
my named range. If the user does not find the desired value in th
combo box list, I want them to type in the new value and have i
automatically appended to the list. The next time the combo box i
used, the range that it uses for the list will include the new valu
entered previously.

TIA!
