Default Copying non-blank rows to another sheet...

I think (hope) i am missing something simple here..
I have a worbook with a number of sheets (1-3), and a final sheet "4" that consolidates the information
After some processing, the sheets 1-3 have variable amounts of data. I am trying to copy the data from each of the sheets into sheet 4
The data in sheets 1-3 use columns A-F - all cells in column "A" will contain an index number, but this is not unique to each row
One method i had thought of using was to calculate the last non-blank row of column "A", and then copy range A1-F(last row) and then paste into the relevant place in the last sheet... but I just can't help feeling that there must be a simple (advanced) filter in VB that will select all the non-blank cells and allow to copy / paste

I'm very curious to know if there is... i can work through the above option OK... TI

Mike
