i'm clueless about this ...
i have exceeded the 3 conditional format limitation, and i'm a beginner VBA'er... i can't figure out how to do this i have already automated rows changing colors based on certain values in certain cells (using up the conditional formatting limitation), but now i have to change cell colors based on data in its cell and the cell next to it i have 4 cell ranges with date D3:D200 = dRang E3:E200 = eRang K3:K200 = kRang L3:L200 = lRang if a cell in dRange = today() (in a formula) the its formatting should be red, bold font (ignore if the date was entered manually else i the cell next to it in eRange = today() the the formatting of the cell in dRange should be blue (no matter the date in dRange els cell in dRange should be blac end i note: "today" should be treated as two values... turning the font bold and red should only occur if there's a formula "=today()" in the cell. if the actual date is manually entered, that should be treated the same as any other date. i do have a udf in a module, used in formatting and formulas Function isformula(rng As Range isformula = rng.HasFormul End Functio and i need to do the same for the other ranges suggestions thanks for any help out there jill |
