Default sum cells

Hi bob
thought that by myself. So there really seems to be a requirement out
there for using the original functionality of SUMPRODUCT :-)

I have a WS that has counts in cells E10 to E209 that are

multiplied
by data in cells Z10 to Z209. Now I do E10*$Z10 in AZ10 that is
repeated thru AA209. Then I do =SUM(AA10:AA209) in cell E45. The
same thing is done for columns (F to P * Z) and AB to AL put in F45
to P45. Is there a way to eliminate the AA to AL cells and sum the
data directly into the row 45 columns ( like
=SUM(E10*$Z10:E209*$Z209) which doesn't work)?

Thanks.....
