Hi Ron,
I just did what I mentioned to you earlier today - I copied the 90kb file 100 times, and ran my code against that....and it worked without error!! But when I mix a bunch of the 5MB files in, it errors. And not on the same file, so it's not a file specific problem. The only difference in the two file types is that the 5mb file has a ton of detail. The 5mb files have 90 or so sheets, where the 9kb files have 5 sheets. In ALL of the files, there is one sheet...and this sheet is identical in format to the sheet in every other file. So does this mean it's a memory problem? I am running a pretty new machine (2.8G Pentium4, 256 RAM). It just doesn't make any sense to me!! Going back to your original comment about me sending you the files - I'd be happy to send you one of each version (9kb, 5mb) so I don't clog up your mail server. And then you can copy the files as many times as you want to test it. Thanks for all of yoyur help!! :) -Steph |
