I have a pivot table with two row fields and one data field:
Row Field = Year Row Field = Quarter DataField = Average of Price The table creates a row total of the year field. I do not want this. I have turned off the Grand totals for the rows in the options but still get totals for each year. When I take the year out of the ro field and just use quarters, a row total is not calculated for th quarter. It only appears when I put in a superceding row field (year) I get: 2004 ------Q1-----$5.00 ------Q2-----$6.00 ------Q3-----$7.00 ------Q4-----$8.00 Total 2004-$6.50 But I want: 2004 ------Q1-----$5.00 ------Q2-----$6.00 ------Q3-----$7.00 ------Q4-----$8.00 How do I get rid of this total? Thank -- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com |

Grand Totals are the very last total on the sheet, so getting rid of them will
not affect the other totals. You need to right click on one of theyear totals, eg Total 2004, choose Field settings and then change the subtotals to none instead of automatic (left hand side of the dialog box) -- Regards Ken.......................
