Default Excel developers edition

Hi All,

I am not entirely new to VBA nor an expert in the area. I
have been offered Excel developers edition for Excel 2000
(I am using excel 2000). Is there any benefit in
purchasing the developer edition? What are the benefits?
Do you use it?

Thanks for your comments.

Regards
Daud

Daud,

The Developers' Edition (DE) of Excel is the same version of
Excel as all other versions. You don't get any new functions or
features. The DE provides a few useful tools for the VBA Editor,
such as the API Text view and the Code Librarian. It also
provides the ability to create VBA Projects independent of any
workbook and compile the projects in to ActiveX DLL files for COM
Add-Ins.
