Try this correction. You don't have to select a cell to act upon it.

'Option Compare Text

Sub Boldmaker()
Dim cel as Range
For Each cel In Selection
If cel.Value = "Total Transactions" Then
cel.Offset(0, 1).Font.Bold = True

Next cel
End Sub

You could add the Option Compare Text line at top of Module to make it
case-insensitive if desired.

If the Offset cell is already bold, and it should no longer be bold, do you
wish to reset it? If so, just an idea...
