Hi,
For those who have worked with Solver in excel. I was wondering if there is a version of this add-in , or may be som other add-ins to do the same sort of problem solving, but to accep more than one target cell. To maximize/minimize the target cell. would like to have some cells change, to give me the minimum amount o 4 values for example. Solver is great, but it only accepts one valu for the target. Thanks for the comments -- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com |

Hi
While there is only one target cell, you can use the constraints to effectively have other target cells. Say you want A1 to be 10, then set this as the target cell. If you want B1 to be 13, and C1 to be 14, then include them in the constraints. HTH Tony -----Original Message----- Hi, For those who have worked with Solver in excel. What does it mean to minimize (or maximize) multiple cells at the same
time? What if the minimum values of the different target cells (objectives) occur at different values of the 'by changing' cells (decision variables)? -- Regards, Tushar Mehta www.tushar-mehta.com Excel, PowerPoint, and VBA add-ins, tutorials Custom MS Office productivity solutions In article , dibdab says...
