Default Calling an Excel Doc from Internet Explorer

Hi!
I open an Excel file in the Internet Explorer by clicking a link. The file
opens inside the explorer window. I know how to change this by changing the
registry "BrowserFlags=8" ...
My question is:
How can I find out, wheter the excel file was opened within the Internet
Explorer or outside in a separate Excel instance.
I there any application method or thisworkbook method?

Thanks,

Sven Schulze
