Default URL too long in Excel (VBA).

Working in Excel 2002 (XP) and VBA 6.3.

Trying to open up a web page in Excel. The address of the web page is
over 255 characters which appears to be in excess of the limit that
excel allows. The error received is that the address could not be
found. Is there a way around this?

The open method used in VBA is:
Workbooks.Open Filename:
The exact Error is:
Run-time error '1004':
Method 'Open' of object 'Workbooks' failed

Thanks in advance.
