Is it possible for the Comment to open to the left of the cell?
Similarly can the red marker be moved around the cell ?

You can drag the comment to any position of the cell / worksheet.
I have never seen a marker in any other corner then the upper-right.

Thanks Mark,

I know I can drag the comment block to any position but if select the
cell it still opens to the right.

I am developing a fruit availability database which shows which months
certain fruits are available. I have the fruit names in column B and
the months running across.

I have turned the fruit name cells into Comments with pictures.
That is why I would like the images to open to the left into column A
when I select a fruit name.
