control toolbox contrls disabled in design mode
 

ack - I can't figure this out - the controls in the control toolbox are
disabled when I am in design mode. when I move the mouse over one of the
buttons I placed on the worksheet yesterday it has the circle with the slash
through it.

anyone have suggestions?

no - it was not protected -- i opened a new sheet and discovered it could
add controls...then came back to the original and realized 2 tabs
(worksheets) where selected simulatously...when I selected the first
tab/sheet i regained access to the toolbox...
