Default Pivot Table value in category renamed but the old value is still there

I had to rename a value of one category in my pivot table (the data is linked to another spreadsheet, renamed the data there) and now my pivot table can see the new category just fine however the old one is still there. I've checked to see if perhaps some data still had the old value but that isn't the case. I've refershed the pivot table that didn't work. The only other option would be to re-create the entire pivot table but this pivot table is pretty complex. Any suggestions?

The spreadsheet crashes when selecting the old catgeory but that makes since because there is no records for the old catgeory. However the pivot table still keeps the old category listed.

By category I mean items in the PAGE area of the pivot table.
