Default VBA - Today() not available in VBA?

When I try to use the Today() function in my VBA code, it's not
recognized as a valid function. I also can't select from the
..WorksheetFunction list, i.e. there is no
Application.WorksheetFunction.Today I can use. Do I have to write this
myself or am I missing something?
