Default link formula

here is a formula for a link to a cell in an excel
program running on computer1. it works to transfer the
current contents of the cell to another office program
running in computer1:

=Excel.Sheet.8|'C:\Documents and
Settings\Paul\Desktop\CLEAN MV TRAP 12-15.xls'!'!Sheet2!
R1C8'

is it possible to link from an application runniing in
computer1 to this file running on another computer. for
example:

//computer2???

Default link formula

In the absence of another reply ....

1. Windows
I guess the answer is Yes because it is possible to set up file/folder
sharing via the Windows operating system (similar to accessing a
server).

2. Other applications
I believe an application like LapLink sets up the external source as an
additional drive letter.

You may have problems if someone has the linked file open - although
Excel file sharing is possible.
