Default Reverse of Hlook up

As we have hlookup formula in Excel where we get the information at a particular row with the first column number given by the used So we can basically pull the data .Do we have any formula in Excel where I can insert data at a particular location based on the first column match.Put the data a particular location

If I understand you correctly, you cannot enter data into another cell with
a Function. It can only return a value to the cell in which the function
is.

You may need some VBA code to achieve what you are doing. If I have
misunderstood, please post back
