Default Engineer calculations

Hello, i am an engineer and have very little experience with complicated
calculations. I have a problem with some material calculations. There
are two sets of values, one set that specifies certain lenghts of pipes
(e.g. 50cm, 70 cm, 89 cm....) and one set that specifies the required
amount of each length (e.g. 15 of the 50cm, 7 of the 70 cm etc). Having
a specified length of raw material that i could use (e.g. 4m), i would
like to know in how many of the required items of specific length (set
2) i could divide the first 4m raw material, the second 4m raw etc.
Further more, i would like to know each time the lenght of raw material
left unused (if any), in order to use it in further applications.
Thanks everybody!

We generally try not to do homework for students. Either provide the
complicating factors that remove it from the homework category, or ask
an Excel specific quetion.
