Microsoft Query - how to reference a cell value in a filter
I want to write a query where the field a has a criteria
of being equal to the value of cell "a1". How do I enter that reference or function call into the valuefield of the query manager?? |

Initially put a ? When you run the query to test it you will be asked for a value. After the results have been returned to Excel, select a cell in the results table and use Data / get External Data / Parameters You should get a dialog which enables you to associate A1 with the parameter. In recent versions of Excel you can make the query update automatically when the relevant cell is changed.
