Default deleting text is easy... but what about this?!!!

I am trying to create a macro that will do the following...

On running a box pops up on screen asking if you would like to:
a. Delete no. of leading characters
b. Delete no. of ending characters
c. Delete all charaters after nth character

On clicking the repective action a second box will appear allowing the
user to enter the relevant number and on clicking ok the requested
action will be performed.

Unfortunately i am nowhere near clever enough to do this and turn to
your collective genius for help..!!!

Many thanks
