Default Comparing

I need to be able to compare a column of values on one tab with a column of values in another tab. I was able to do this before using a function within the cell itself but I can not remember how

Any ideas on how to do this?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Kirk

Default Comparing

in the first sheet in B1

=Countif(A1,Sheet2!$A:$A)

then drag fill down the column.

as an example.
