Default Updating sheets to include new data beside old data


I need to update spreadsheets containing data in a varying number o
cells (eg, sometimes the sheet will contain data in A-E, A-G etc) t
show new data alongside old data (eg, 2003's data alongside 2002'
data)

I need to be able to search the sheet for the data and move the entir
data to the right by the appropriate number of cells to allow room fo
new data of the same size to be entered in the now empty cells.
Ideally the macro would do this no matter how many columns the data i
in.
