And just to add to Vasant's reply:
You can toggle this setting (A1 or R1C1 reference style) in the: Tools|options|General tab Kirk wrote: A co-worker sent me the following formula: =SUM(R[-48]C:R[-1]C) I'm not exactly sure what this means. I am thinking that i tmeans to sum up all of the previous 48 rows, in the previous cell, but I am not positive. Anyone else know what this formula is meant to do? Any help would be appreciated.
