Default Print Area vs Print to fit

Has anyone noticed that if your print area is non-contiguous (made up of
more than one range) then print-to-fit doesn't work?

or is it me?

Meaning that if your print area contains multiple disjoint areas, Excel will
insist on printing each such area on a separate page? Old news. Either of
the following.

1. Copy each area and paste as a picture link in another, blank worksheet in
the layout you want, then select the *single* *area* range on that worksheet
that contains all the linked pictures, and print that.

2. Buy a copy of Lotus 123, which has had profoundly more intelligent
printing facilities than Excel for over a decade now, and use it for
printing.

Sorry. Can't help being sarcastic when it comes to grossly incapable aspects
of Excel vs other spreadsheets, especially when that lack of capabilities
predates Excel 5. It's sad, really, how little money Microsoft has to spend
on adding useful features to Excel.
