Default Excel.exe

I have a pc running Win NT and office 2000 excel.exe
sortcut will not work. but if I log on as administrator
it work. err is exception access voilation 0xc00000005
address 0x30026E31

I'm not an expert in NT security, but it seems that XL is trying to
write/read something that it cannot when running under restricted
rights. Something that it can when running with admin rights. It
would appear to be some file / registry entry so critical that XL isn't
programmed to handle the security violation; hence, it just crashes.
